| Crower Power 160cc
Anybody have any more information on this? I saw this on www.50ccracing.com and it is said to have 17 horses at the rear wheel.

Impressive displacement, but unimpressive HP numbers for a motor that big. The 160cc Honda Nice motors (bored and stroked 110's) are putting down 23-24 HP and run like a raped ape..

The Honda NICE was a motorcycle made by Honda for the Thai Market. You can purchase the 110cc motor here: www.faddybike.com Then, you can have a German company bore and stroke the motor out for you. I'll dig up the link. Or you can have a UK company do the work for you also. www.dragonracingparts.co.uk In the end, it's not cheap, and you have to modify your footpegs and run aftermarket forks, but in the HP wars, the Japanese can't yet beat this combo. Find a way to mate the Kitaco SE head to the Honda Nice 160cc motor, and you'll have a rocket on your hands. |

You guys are right about the numbers on the 117, but that number would be at the crank. The KLX 160 has about 20hp at the crank. The numbers can be backed up by the dyno. Does anyone have a dyno on the 117? Numbers on the 88 takagawa with a superhead are around 8rwhp, so i cant see the 117 with 17rwhp. Displacement wouldnt make that much difference. As far as the Honda 160cc, we'd like to know where to get one a hold of one of those motors. 23hp at the crank is definitely possible. If anyone has one they'd like to dyno, give crowerpower a call, 866-361-CAMS(2267)! |

Secondly, I've yet to see any Kitaco Dyno numbers, but will be testing out a 108 Ultrahead (Non-SE) for my own benefit, as well as a Honda Trail Bikes 88cc Kit with Head and all the fixins, ported, lightened and balanced wiith a 20mm carb. I just haven't had the time at the moment to do my own testing. (I'm unaffiliated with any shop) I urge vendors to dyno their combinations to give people the true picture of what various combinations put out both in HP and torque.

Dyno numbers are what everyone wants to see. We know where some of the bikes run, as far as RWHP. But, proof of 23RWHP would be nice, as well as the 17RWHP 117kit. We just dont think its possible and would love to see actual dyno results. FYI, a stock XR50 has 2.4RWHP, an 88cc with a stock head and a cam, about 4.2. Our 88cc with a stock head, 20mm carb and our Cam has 8.9RWHP.

You are looking at 700-1000 dollars off ebay for a used NICE engine.
