I want to voice my opinion on a blanket topic here regarding the way certain people on here choose to operate.

I personally joined this site to talk with other people about Pitbikes, see new cool stuff, and exhange information. MOST of the time that is what happens here, people relay there experiences and knowledge is gained all around. Ocasionally though it seems that someone goes on a personal attack, be it to another member or vendor. It seems that for the most part, the vendors here are excited to bring and discuss new products to the market place here on PM. It is sad however, when a vendor or PM member for that matter comes up with a new idea or product and then has it torn to shreds by a few on here. For example, if a vendor came out with a new widget, it is common for some to say "Wow, cool I can not wait", or "I wonder if that is really any better than the old widget". Unfortunately we have some that exclaim that the widget is garbage, and there widget is better, or that widget is simply xyz's widget that is re-badged and over charged for.
It is precisely this attitude that will ultimately drive away both PM members and Vendors from both this site and Pit Bikes altogether.
Now do not mis-understand, if a company blatantly screws people over, doesnt ship promised product or refund payments, or just continually performs very poor product production or re-sale, then by all means let the PM community know.
Many times though I think that the bashing going on here is PERSONAL and that is unexecptable! If you have a problem with someone here on a personal level, deal with directly with them and off the PM system.

To all the PM members, keep the product tests and questions coming. If you have a new idea lets hear it!
To all the PM vendors, I have done business with most of you and find you all to be proper companies that care about the industry as a whole. Keep offering your products to us regardless of what the few have to say.

Bottom line here is that I do not care who makes what, if it is a product that I am interested in and the price is good, then I will buy it. I think that most of you feel the same way. It does not mean that I do not appreciate the inside information, I just do not need the fights that always follow, if I want that then I will go to that OTHER 50 site. Lets keep Planet Minis the civil information and good times source that made us join it in the first place.

Definately true, I think most flamers and such come from members who don't know enough in working on or improvising small things on there own bikes realizing that none of them are going to be perfect and you will have to, on occasion modify some parts and pieces, thats when you should bring it to the site to share with all of us. On that note their is surely enough animosity out in the world, I agree we should help each other out more and leave the fighten to the guys in camo.

This is a MORAL issue. EVERYONE KEEP THAT IN MIND. What some people think is fine others do not. I will let this thread continue until people start using their personal beliefs to turn this thread the wrong direction. You can only judge through your own eyes and we all have our own reality. Anyone ever heard the quote, "There is no right or wrong, there is only opinion"? Keep that buried in your mind if you decide to post and make sure you reread the Planet Minis rules just as a refresher.

Nick should make a "petty squabbling" area... probably right next to the chinese/import minis section.

I would say that most of the problems revolve around the fact that people JUST DON'T KNOW EVERYTHING LIKE THE THINK (KNOW) THEY DO. Everybody thinks they know everything there is to know about engine X, then somebody butts in new info and the whole thing explodes into a popcorn fest.

Petty Squabbling....all the fight threads could just be moved there... and when PM gets dull... BAM, soap opera threads until you can't stomache it anymore.

Am I right?
