Re: disc brake conversion

if you get a kit like bbr or reeg the mounting bracket takes the place of your swingarm pivitbolt nut. like soo.

Re: disc brake conversion

The reeg kit is a lot better than the bbr kit if you ask me. Its much much much lighter which means your gonna get better acceleration, and stops you just as good as the bbr kit. However, the bbr kit is probably more durable(thicker rotor) and easier to get parts for, but is a bit overpriced for what looks to me just like a china brake system.

Re: disc brake conversion

You can find used reeg kits with an entire wheel and brake set up for around $400. Since reeg doesnt make them any more thats your only option. They do however still sell all the parts other than the master cylinder and the hub. New, the bbr kit is $550 and it doesnt come with spokes or a rim. If your not running a perimeter frame you will also need to purchace the adaptor kit which is another $70. An entire rear wheel with the bbr disc kit is going to cost around $700.
