That cam wouldnt be a good choice for a stocker. Your in Australia yeah im guessing? You will find that running a cam with too much lift and duration on a full stocker will end up running like ****. Be careful, im running a crower cam that's made for stockers and you lose a ****load of bottom end. Have to keep it reving otherwise it just dies off.

Re: DRATV mega cam in a stocker?

yeah im an aussie, trying to figure out what i can do to wake my 04 crf50 up a bit, i raced it for the first time on the weekend and kinda thought i need a bit more power after 09 crf50s seemed to cruise straight past me,

could a cam be balanced out with a pipe that give the bike bottom end and a high rev CDI to assist with top end revving out?

Re: DRATV mega cam in a stocker?

You raced Gwandalan? I was there racing stock, #100. What number were you?
Some dudes were riding a few suspect bikes too, so keep that in mind when dudes cruise past you.

Im running 06 stocker, Crower Cam, Bills pipe, Kitaco CDI and thats it. Stock pipe gives the most bottom end actually. If you want to run a cam, you have to ride them well. Otherwise you will struggle, mine was weird to get used to at first. Mine has zero bottom end haahah

Yeah i was at Gwandalan, I remember seeing you actually because I remember checking your bike out and was liking the look of it.

I was #38 on on like the ghetto looking 04.

The guys who came 1st is a noticably great rider but I heard alot of people saying that his bike isnt legit, that guy also stole my gate after I drew it and pretty much told me to get lost when I was like "hey dude thats my gate".

I had a ball there though, so much fun.
