What's the difference between the 1st generation and the 2nd generation of Fast Ace forks? I found some for sale and the guy doesn't know what generation they are... is there any way to tell a difference?

Should be a marking on the lower foot area thats says..AS01/AS02/AS03
The AS01s are the best Fastace offers..
There are also other identifying marks but easier for your post pictures and then we will let you know which ones they are.
There are different colors of each model and also different brake mounting dimensions on different models.

They look to be the AS02 forks. It will say right on them on or near the foot.

it should say the model on the bottom of the legs near where the axle goes through. AS01 are comp and reb adjustable on both legs
as02 have comp one leg and reb other leg
as03 have reb one leg and dummy adjuster on other leg

Thanks guys! I don't have the forks, so I can't look at the part number myself. For 225.00 do you guys think that's a good deal for everything... forks, wheel/tire, ect.

if they are AS02's and come with the brake hardware and the air pump or if they are AS01's then I would say they are worth it..but not if they are AS03's.......I have not ridden the AS01's but I hear they are similar to the ones that come on Pitster's (X4)..AS02's are kinda finicky with set-up but are okay after they are dialed in
