My Mood: | Head Breather.
So how exactly do i do this. take a dremel and cut about a 1/4in hole and get some heat-proof 1/4in tubing.. insert it.. but how do i seal it? Also.. is there any other size tube i should use? i heard people using 1/8in or something? Also about how much more bottom-end/top-end/torque will i get, and depending on the size of the hole in the valve tappet? Thanks.

I also plan on this when I get to that, but I would say thread a brass fitting and if you Function<form jb weld it, but if your real anal, thread it with a perfect hole, then use your tube idea. just the tube is pretty ghetto.

drill and tap the hole for a threaded nipple, then clamp your hose onto the nipple. a hose will never stay 'glued' in

like fiveho said glue wont work very well when that engine heats up.. they got cheap breathers on ebay for like 25 bucks i think that comes with everything you need. also you gotta watch what tubing you use because if it isnt high temp itll probably melt.. and just wondering do you still have the stock engine/head? if its stock your probably not gunna notice that much of a difference my buddy put a breather on his 88 and barely noticed anything but it revs up a little faster

definitely drill and tap the hole, jb weld is going to look, and eventually work, like ****. jb weld is only for something like a temporary gas tank leak fix, not something permanent like a head breather.

he probably means to use a threading tool to thread the hole you drill as if a screw were to go in it and then twist in the tubing ive heard of some people doing that and pittracervince a breather helps your engine climb to higher rpms faster so it may increase torque a little, in bigger engine kits you can really see a difference since there is so much more pressure built up inside the engine |

just go mow a neighboors lawn and spend the 25 bucks on a real kit Even though for a stock motor and head you arent going to notice a damn thing, in fact I bet it will hinder your performance if anything. Spend 10 bucks on a new air filter that alone will do more than a headbreather kit for a stock 50 |
