so i just picked up a motor with an 88kit and an inner rotor kit not sure what brand of inner rotor kit....its installed in the motor...but its not hooked to the bike harness....it has a black wire and a white wire...what wires do those wires plug into with the bike harness? thanks guys..

ok so i just realized that the guy didnt give me the cdi box that the inner rotor plugs into.....can i use my stock revbox instead? will this work with the inner rotor?

IRK uses only the stock coil and kill switch. Everything else is exclusive to the IRK including the rev box. AHP sells the rev box alone if you have the Kitaco IRK or the Chinese copy of the Kitaco IRK.

yo ballard hows your bike run with the irk without the cdi? you runnin the stock cdi?...

arlindsay...just ordered it ...thanks man....the guy who sold me the motor didnt have the harness or cdi so i was kinda screwed..lol

If you get the CDI from AHP, it should be wired to work with your coil.
The CDI should come with these 5 wires:
1-white
1-red/white (double connector)
1-yellow (flat connector)
1-green (flat connector)
1-green (ground)

Plug the Yellow and Green (flat connectors) to your coil.
Plug the black inner rotor wire to the Red/White from the CDI.
Plug the green or red wire from your kill switch to the other end on the Red/White from the CDI.
Plug the white from the CDI and the Inner rotor together.
Last thing, ground the green (CDI ground) and your kill switch ground.
Then you're all goodie goodie....

perfect..thanks alot.....looked at the ahp cdi and the only difference is the white wire that you said it should have is brown...make any difference? i noticed some cdi's its either white or brown...check it out on ahp under electrical/lighting section

they are pretty much the same, except for the price tag

and the cool instruction wording that come with the chineese irks... I do think the Kitaco has a more reliable electronics.
