| IRK and lights possible?
This may be a dumb question, but it doesn't seem like you can run lights with an IRK. Am I missing something here?

Ok guys, i'm not an idiot here. I guess my question was, is there an inner rotor kit available that has a secondary lighting coil?

You want an outer rotor kit if you want lights. Daytona, kitaco, and lifan all sell outer rotor kits.

Just keep the stock ignition and have the flywheel lightened. The stock stator is pretty easy to set up for lights. The place that does the street kits for the 50 (baja designs) sells rewound stock stators that are ready to go.

How much weight can be shaved off the stock flywheel and about how much should a machinist charge for this? Does anyone have a link for the Lifan outer rotor setup. The daytona and Kitaco are way too spendy for me. |

I know you can get 8oz off of of a 110 flywheel. I believe you can get a lot more off of a 50 flywheel though. Something like 12oz or 16oz.
