TB oil cooler bud, they are nice coolers and nice price. No tacky hose clamps either.

Ditto what those two said. Can't go wrong with a TB(Trail Bikes) oil cooler.

TB cooler all the way, its really nice. but be careful if you use a pressure washer lol it will bend all your fins real fast whatever one you decide to get DONT get a billet one, ther are pretty much worthless, get a radiator type with all the fins. they provide lots of extra area for the heat to go to |

Thats what I was leaning towards. I have their 88 race kit and never had problems. I have the breather tube now will this replace it? Do I add more oil? If so how much?

I think there is an adapter that goes on the head to run a cooler. I am sure someone on here will clarify this.

That... or you could just add a little extra oil..... start the bike to let it fill oil cooler.... and then just add oil to correct level on your dipstick. | |

Stock pitster radiator style duals for me. They work great for my street motard and have held up great even going down a few times at the track. |

If you get the TB cooler you'll need longer bolts than the stock ones that go to the new adapter plate that comes with the kit.I had the same cooler on mine and the stock bolts started to strip out because they were a bit short.

I know a very reputable mechanic who tested a TB oil cooler and his bike ran a full 20 degrees cooler. Well worth the install... wouldn't ya's agree?

My Mood: | Re: oil coolers oil coolers are not a waste. they both cool the oil that comes out of the hot cylinder passage and gives you about 150 ccs of extra oil to burn or loose if something happens and you don't know it head breathers are a waste, as the oil return passage on the underside of the cylinder does the same thing |
