My Mood: | Oil Coolers, which is better???
Trying to find out which oil cooler is better between the Takegawa billet oil cooler, or the ADA Racing billet oil cooler... I have them both, but there are some serious differences in between the 2 with the cap for the head. ie. oil passages... Takegawa looks like the stock cap, only backwards, where the ADA one has the oil lines running thru the rocker arm pins... Any advice or opinions would be helpful...

None of the billet coolers will cool as well as the conventional "radiator" type oil coolers.

Here are the pics, Takegawa on the LEFT, ADA on the RIGHT... Also, the Takegawa plate has the green gasket, and the ADA has the blue gasket...

Right, they don't, but they supply blue gaskets in the 88 S-stage kits, which is the gasket that is on the ADA cap, which is also the same as the green one... So why does it cover the hole still, even with the Takegawa gasket??? | |

Looks like the oil will flow thru the slot cut in the cover.

The ADA will work a bit better because it has heat sinks. And the ADA oil passage cover would flow better cause the passages are abit bigger. IMO

I like the ada better cause the bigger ports and it is really finned out! I sold it to you only because i thought the lines were kinda thin, as opposed to the tb cooler's lines i have now. see if the take lines are thicker and run those on the ada if it matches up. my 2 cents
