| sheng way 20mm float height
Doing some work trying to figure out jetting on my new TB88 rh setup. What's the float height supposed to be on these carbs? The symptoms I'm running into are spratic so I'm thinking that the float could be the problem. I've got the stock main and pilot in there right now. I'm at 4500ft above sea level. It runs beautifully at WOT. Sputters sometimes at about 1/4 throttle, but not always. If i don't keep the bike in the upper rpm's it almost feels like it loads up like a 2 stroke run below its powerband. Put it it neutral and clear it out and it's ready to run like crazy. I know it's not a very good way to determine anything but the plug is a beautiful chocolately brown. I think the main is fine, but the pilot could use a size smaller. But of course, I don't wanna chase my tail around before I get the float set. |

You need to select the main jet first to give you best wot Select clip to get best past 1/4 throttle application Select pilot and air screw for best idle and off idle response. Float level mostly affects WOT. |
