Will the skid plate from a 2006 CRF50 fit a 2008 CRF50? Thanks!

That is what I thought. I purchased an ebay skid and it does not mount up, about a 1/2" off. He told me that it only fit 00 to 06 and i was like ok maybe they did move the peg mounting points back a little and it seems like all the ones advertised on ebay state that it fits 00 to 06. Now I am trying to figure out a way to make it work without hacking it to much.

It's probably one that will fit the Chinese engines with the 69mm tall cylinders, not the XR/CRF ones with 63mm cylinders.

Maybe it is the other way around from what you just said. When I have it mounted to the cylinder, the rear mounting holes are a 1/2" to short. the mounting points are not far enough apart.

ebay stuff is junk, you learned your lesson. Now buy a name brand skid plate and your golden.

I am not saying it is junk. The actual welds and finish of the product looked quality other than the mounting holes not lining up.

^^^Yeah ebay stuff is garbage you never know what you're getting. Stick with the name brands.

I will figure out something and will probably do that. I will say the place it came frome is refunding me all my money. So I can't beat that.
