| Takegawa 124 piston specs???
Hey guys I am looking for the specs on the piston.. I want to know what it is from the top of the wrist pin to the top if the deck height.. Im haveing trouble with something and kinda need to know can anyone help...??? Thanks.. The problem is takegawa list the same piston for my 50mm crank as well for the 124 motor or the 54mm crank.. But the cylinder is 6mm taller so its sittin 2mm down farther than it did before on th 50mm crank... So maybe there is different piston for the 124 and I just am haveing a hard time finding it.. So first I need to know the height of a piston for the 124 engine an see if mine is lower so lookin for top of wristpin hole to the deck PLEASE help lol...

It all depends on who's '124' setup you're using. I want to say either Kitaco or Takegawa use a goofball pin height compared to everyone else, but I don't recall who. Measured from the center of the wrist pin to the outer edge of the piston: Short rod - IE '6v' pistons are 19.5mm Long rod - IE '12v' pistons are 18.5mm Most stroker setups generally run short rod pistons. The exceptions are unit's like TB's 52mm crank, that uses long rod pistons. |

Ok guys is there a difference in rod length from the 50mm cranks to the 54mm cranks... Cause if so I think thats the problem the rods didnt look any different im at work but will measure when I get home????? That might be why its exactly 2mm farther down in the 69mm cylinder and 54mm crank than it was with the 63mm cylinder and 50mm crank.. The decking on the 50mm crank came all the way to the top of the cylinder DANG whys this gotta happen to me lol...
