Re: TB 88kit installed!!!!

The only thing that goes in my bikes is AMS Oil 10W-40 motorcycle oil.
AMSOIL - SAE 10W-40 Synthetic Motorcycle Oil (MCF)

Use anything conventional. Do not use synthetic oil during break in!!!!

I run Honda HP4 10w 40 in my bike

I wouldn't use synthetic oil in a xr or crf 50 bottom end. I have heard horror stories of clutch failure and plus if you change your oil every 2 or 3 rides like you should that synthetic oil will cost you a fortune. I use catorol 4 stroke oil from Kragen (like a pep boys or napa) for about 3 bucks.

Thats funny, because thats the only thing ive ever put in my dirt bike engine. Its out lasted all my friends bikes. Not to mention im still on my bone stock auto clutch in my stocker, with a TB 88cc RH kit.

I also run other AMS oil products in my other stuff.

Re: TB 88kit installed!!!!

+1 on the amsoil.. I use it now in everything I ride, including my 250f, 50, and harley. There was an article I read on an independent testing company showing the wear prevention different oils provided, using a "ball friction" test, and the amsoil came out on top. Some conventional oils were in the top 5 too, so I have nothing against them. So far I've put hundreds of hours on my 250f and 50, and 5000 miles on my harley with no clutch problems or piston blow by problems.
