1986 trx 70 rear sprocket help

I just bought this bike for my kids and the rear sprocket and dampners were bad and grinded into the frame at the axle clear into the oil seal.
I replaced the dampners in the hub and the sprocket but it still wants to fall off and grind into the frame. is there something that holds the sprocket onto the hub? I know it is missing the part called the coller oil seal but it is no longer available and it looks like it would not be big enough to hold the sprocket on. thanks for the help.
