| ATC 70 chain tensioner
I'm not sure how easily the chain tensioner on my 85 ATC 70 should spin. It will turn by hand with no sound or feel of bad bearings. Should it actually spin freely? I took the circlip out thinking I could re grease it but didn't get very far.

These tensioners are not rebuildable or greasable. If it turns relatively easy by hand with no noise and has a smooth action then just run it. When they go bad I cut off the Sprocket and replace it with a nylon roller. The nylon cuts out a significant amount of noise from the chain. |
