| Bogging carb issue.
1986 TRX70 all stock. Fresh stock size hone, rings, gaskets..Valves at .002 in and ex. stock airfilter cleaned and lightly oiled. Carb is a new aftermarket "same as stock" which i put the OEM pilot jet in with no improvement. Hard to start, idles fine but boggs when i give it quick gas, but revs up fine when the choke is on. I know its a carb issue but any ideas. Last edited by tepco; 11-18-2009 at 08:53 PM. |

Because i hate dead posts (posts with no answers or solutions) here's where I'm at. I was starting with the mixture screw at 2 1/2 turns out and backing out to try to fix dead spot...WRONG...thanks to dirtbkr188 he got me straight starting at 1 1/2 turns out and adjusting in to make it richer fixing the problem. Sometimes the fix is simple if you have the right info. Thanks dirtbkr188!! |
