hey all just picked up an 84 i think 3 speed with blue seat $150 runs good but i want more power i have a sl70 4speed with a trans problem
im goin to see what all it needs if it worth fixing i plan to goo 88cc or bigger or if i can find a used lifan for a good price

bit i have a question what starter can i use?
and i add the recoil or do u have to use the kick?
will the kick clear the fender?

The '82-'85 ATC70 should be a 4-speed, unless yours had a transplant. The Engine serial number is located below the countershaft and just behind the shift lever shaft, on the engine. Post up the number and we can tell you what you have. Should start with the prefix TB03E-*******
Some guys modify the right rear fender to use a kickstarter.

you can put china engine in there like 125 or smaller bore with e start.
