| It's not a 70, but its an atc. ATC 110 mod's.
Ok, first off, im new to the site. I couldnt find any other sites that could give me the information i was looking for. I tried atvconnectionforums.com, as well as 3wheelerworld.org, with no luck. i have a 1980 honda atc 110. i am rebuilding the motor as we speak, and would like to do some upgrades. i am having the head ported mildly, as well as the intake. i am adding a 24mm carb and a free flowing exhaust, not sure what brand yet. i would like to install an inner rotor kit, but i havent found any information telling whether or not an inner rotor kit for a honda 50, a pit bike or whatever else will fit. is the crank taper the same? how about crank lenght, stator cover clearance and mounting, etc. i cant be the first one to try this, so someone must know something about this. any info is appreciated. thanks in advance guys. |

I don't know much about those motors, but maybe firepower will chime in. |

I really don't think the top ends are interchangable at all, the cam chains are different lengths, the cam sprocket for the ATC has 30 teeth, making the cam drive sprocket 15 teeth, the cam on the ATC also drives the points contact. The ATC piston takes a 15mm wrist pin, and the ATC gaskets are a totally different configuration than the 50/70 ones. It appears in the microfiche that certain year ATCs had an inner rotor style ignition system, as shown below. You would need to reference a service manual for more information. |

So I am guessing that this will be the same if I am messing with a TRX 125? I don't think the Dr. shows anything for those though? |
