I have a TRX70 with a TB 88cc race head. I was cruising down the road in 4th gear and a loud knocking, slapping noise started. It was like the chain was slapping the chain cover or the chain was jumping the sprocket from being loose. I took all the covers off and tightened the chain a little but it didn't help. It still knocks, locks up, and slips in all 4 gears. I guess I'll probably have to split the cases to find out what's wrong but I was just wondering if anybody had any input. I was thinking a broken tranny tooth or 2 but why would it be all 4 gears?

If it's knocking, open it up.

Hey, thanks for your reply again. It might be a good thing I didn't sell you that extra parts tranny, I might need parts from it now! If it is the primary drive gear, would an xr50 one work because I have an extra one of those?

And on that note, would a xr50 clutch assembly bolt right on, I have an extra one of those also?
