I just picked up a '73 ATC 70 for $200 bucks, seems to be mostly all there. The seat cover isn't original, and a previous owner took it upon himself to paint the tank and frame red instead of the original orange (very crudely, I might add). It's missing the tank mount cushions and footpeg rubbers, and the foam air filter element. The front fender is also red instead of orange. After tinkering for a bit, and looking around online, I have a few questions that hopefully someone can help answer.
1) Is there anyone or any place that would have just a front fender? I know DRATV.com sells a complete plastic set, but I only need the front fender. I don't mind if it's used.
2) I checked the points, filed them, and set them at .012". Using a test light, I get light at the connection between stator and coil when pulling the motor over. The guy I bought it from said he replaced the coil, which is obviously used. Is the coil on the 73-74 atc's different than ones from the later years? The part number on the coil is FL601-AC39, I think. It says "76 Honda" in yellow marker on it, which made me wonder if the guy bought the incorrect coil. Anyone know if this coil would work?
I see on E-bay there's one that's claimed to be from a '73. Looks smaller than the one I have right now.

3) If this coil will work, is there a way to test it to make sure it's good?
I'm probably going to order a set of points/condensor, the filter foam, and tank rubbers from DRATV. I'll use the points eventually, either on this one or my '83. I also know that the footpeg rubbers were different on the early models, but I'm hoping that if I order some from the later years, they'll work.
Thanks in advance for any help. Much appreciated!
