Here is the review I promised.
Received and assembled my mini monster last week. Just getting around to talking about it.
I will be listing all major parts and rating them on a 1-10 scale.
1= junk,
5=acceptable,
10=above and beyond
Handle bars 5 - wide good leverage comfortable. Chrome, ok. welds, eh.
Key switch 7 - Nice key and good switch.
Headlight 5 - Good bright light. Bezel good. Bucket - cheap.
Various nuts and bolts 5 - OK.
Headlight brackets 5 - Thick steel. Quality...not polished before being chromed. Strong.
Front fender 3 - Cheap. wavy. Shape is OK but if you wanted to paint it to look nice you would have to mud it head to toe.
wheels 6 - Good. No wobble.
Front forks 5 - No dampening to speak of but not a lot of bounce.
Rear shock 1 - Bad. Just a pogo spring.
Rear chain adjuster blocks 2 - Cheap.
tires 6 - Good.
front brake 6 - Good
rear brake 5 - OK
rear fender 3 - Cheap looking. Easy to get rid of.
seat 5 - OK. Wouldn't want to spend a day on it but.... Edges are a tad sharp.
frame 4 - powder coat is an egg shell look but lumpy here and there. Some of the stampings are not nice looking. ID plates are huge and not placed on nice.
signals 7 - Nice. The front mounts for them are hideous. I will be drilling the headlight mounts and putting them there some day.
brake light - 7 Nice and bright. Not a ZB copy but nice.
foot pegs 3 - To far forward and high (im 5'10"). Bit on the cheap side.
shifter 5 - OK
brake pedal 3 - ugly in a very kind of way. Placement OK.
tank 4 - The two sides of the tank are a little different. Where the sides of the seat lay against the tank on side is about 1/2 off from one side to the other. If you want to replace your original... you will be disappointed. I kinda was.
paint 5 - OK. Black is a tough color to make beautiful.
gauges 8 - Very nice spedo and tach.
hand controls 9 - Excellent quality. Push button signal canceling. If it werent for the cheap bolts holding them together id give them a 10.
mirrors 5 - OK. ugly. Great view.
Grab rail / Rack 6 - OK
Muffler 6 - Fairly quiet. Bit restrictive but.......
Over all quality ..... 5.5 - 6
engine ? Started good. Haven't had a chance to drive it much. Waiting on the paperwork to title it.
Value - I payed $1450 delivered (had to report minor shipping damage. Not manufacturers or pitster pros fault.)
First impressions are....$1450 are about right. $1450 doesn't buy much these days. I really like the electric start and it is nice looking.
I would pay up to $2000+ if they had high quality stamping of the frame parts and tank. Nice paint and fender, better headlight bucket, nice looking rear brake pedal, a rear SHOCK, forks with dampening, better bolts, better chrome, better looking welds. better foot-peg placement....and some other small easy changes. If it were Honda quality with a 125... Id pay $2700+
After i get it on the road i will rack up some miles and give another review.

Nice static review. Will be interesting to hear how the test runs go.
Sounds like with a junk shock and mediocre front suspension action, the ride better be on a real smooth surface. Bad suspension is just unacceptable to me...low price point or not.

Hey Shogun
You got the documents from Pitsterpro yet?

He would be better off talking to the guys in the office,they handle the MSO, paperwork, as for the Z dyno , do a search those were posted, the HO dyno sheets were given to the guy that purchased the Daytona and HO. he also made a post about that as well.

Nice review!!! I plan to get one myself...but debating between the Mini Monster 125 or Mini Rover 125. Do you know the top speed of both? pros and cons?
-
I am interested in one of these. I cant find a ZB project anywhere. I have one question. Is the frame actually aluminum?
-
-
heres a question how come you cant order replacement parts such as fenders and whatnot for them???

Thats almost a deal breaker for me. I would love to polish the frame on one of these.

The frame of the original monkey-R/RT/ZB is steel as well.
If you want aluminium: G-craft GC-016 frame
