How is your battery voltage? Everything will work without a battery but without it sometimes requires a few rpm's. Put a new battery in or charge it...... you won't believe the difference.

So your saying that is somewhat normal on the honda for it to dim? how often does it need to be charged. On a side note whats the point of having the battery? If it runs without it?????I was telling my buddy it had one, he didn't believe and i didn't have an answer for it....... please enlighten me
Yes, it will dim without a battery. Batteries at the most last a year or two. The reason for the battery is because it is a street legal bike and if the motor dies and does not produce power you have no lighting. The signal lights and horn will work off battery power when the motor is not running. With the battery power you, will have some lighting at the side of the road. Better some than none. Safety issue. Hope this makes sense.

Having a battery will also reduce the stress on the stator.
