    Carb question

Looking for a float bowl gasket for the original ZB carburetor. I ordered this kit 16010-141-305 from the dealer but float bowl gasket was incorrect. I did a search but couldnt find anybody having the same problem. Any info appreciated.

How far off is it?? I'm thinkin you just need to snip a little...extra bit, off of it... In other words, compare to your old one and just snip off the part that is unnecessary.

Sorry i havent posted a pic im not exactly sure how to. kirrbby i did snip the piece of gasket off you are talking about but the gasket didnt seem to fit the bowl correct. It didnt have good crush and started seeping after couple days. Perhaps ive done something wrong.

Ahh, I'm not positive that it worked for me, but I think that's what I did. Maybe I had a different kit. If you're not able to post up pics, post up the numbers off of the carb. Maybe someone can help you figure it out.

    >>>also, be absolutely sure you know WHERE the fuel is seeping from.

I just put in the same kit. I cut off the little tab on the bowl gasket. Haven't run gas through it yet. Hope it works

Judging by the thickness of the OEM one, I'd say the groove in the float bowl has to be too deep for the one on the right. That being said, I wonder is an XR/CRF70 float bowl would work for you.
