I am looking at possibly getting an MR50 frame and a MB50 engine they appear to be virtually identical engines. So my question is will the mb50 engine fit the mr50 frame?

I am looking at possibly getting an MR50 frame and a MB50 engine they appear to be virtually identical engines. So my question is will the mb50 engine fit the mr50 frame?
Only one way to find out.... try and bolt it in. The MB is a 5 or 6 speed I think. The more gears it has, the thinner they are- this equals less durability. The gear ratios are probably much taller in the MB motor too. --L*64
the mb5 is a 5speed and you can make it a 6speed with a cr80 transmission...the 1981-82 cr80 and mb5 share the same case
I was just about to post what he said. I have several MR50 frames out the garage and had a few 80-81 CR80 engines that I sold. From what I remember they were quite a bit bigger than these tiny MR50 engines.
