well i was on the road the other day and i was doing alot of 6th gear and this one stright away i did have it wot for a little while and something happened it shut of and died and when i start it has no power and sounds all weird like ****s rubbin inside only thing i can think of is rings went but what do u guys think?

I would say you seized the ring.

Could be the crank too. When you tear it down-- you'll be able to feel if the crank bearings are binding. The good news is that it isn't too expensive to fix. When my 65 needs a new crank, I'm going to get it balanced before I drop it in. --L*64

hey guys i riped the plastics off and stuff but i cant see the rings because the topend wont come off how do i get it to come off its like stuck to the bottomend. anytricks guys?

Rubber mallet. If you don't have one, I've been known to use a foot long 2x4 as a hammer...

ok well i got it of and how do i check the rings to seee if bad they look fine but im new to this. and i here to check the rod for play and when i move the rod up and down it has a little play what does this mean?
