Looking for a softer setup? How much do you weigh? The stock 150f suspension is very plush.

Yes CR85 forks will bolt onto your 150F with some mods.

If you have an 06'-09' 150F with Electric-start than the CR85 rear shock will NOT work since the battery box is in the way of the reservoir on the 85 shock.

I'm not sure how much $$ you have to spend on this type of setup, but just to give you a figure...The CR85 fork swap will cost you anywhere from $800 and up/ depending how much you get the forks for.

Here's a list of the mods needed for the CR85 Fork Swap:

You will use your existing CRF150F front wheel with disc.

*1996-2007 CR80/85 Forks with top and bottom triple clamps

    *1996-2007 CR80/85 Front Axle

    *1996-2007 CR80/85 Fork Guards

*1996-2007 CR80/85 Front brake hose clamp that clamps to the lower right fork guard

*1996-2007 CR80/85 Front fender/OR you can use the stock CRF150F Fender.

    *1996-2007 CR80/85 Front # plate/OR you can use the stock CRF150F Plate

*You will have to send the CR80/85 lower triple clamp to Reger Engineering to have the stem pressed ($60)

    *Reger Engineering Brake Adapter

*The left front fork leg will need to be helie coiled in order to accept the Reger Engineering Brake Adapter

*Reger Engineering 3 piece front wheel spacers and center support

*Longer Front Brake line off a larger bike. ..125/250

*Heavier front fork Springs for your weight and possibly a revalve

This modification is NOT cheap, but I'm satisfied with my setup. IF you do the 85 forks swap, you'll want a better shock for the rear to balance things out. A Works shock, or some have used the CR85 shock.

    Yes, you can.

Only down fall when using the CR80/85 front wheel/brake system....the CR braking system is a single piston caliper, where the CRF150F is a dual piston caliper.

Better stopping power when using the stock CRF150F brakes.

Some riders say they don't feel a difference when using the smaller CR80/85 brakes, and some say their horrible. Riders preference

So, it's easier to just bolt on the complete CR85 front end but the brakes are not as good?

    Easier, Yes..

You would only need to have the stem pressed ($60) and purchase Reger's steering stop ($25).

But it could cost you more depending on how much you can pick up a complete front end with wheel, forks, brakes, etc.. Or could cost less..
