any idea on what a 02 ttr125 bbr conversion is worth ?

Guy says it 1 of 2 2 frames made like it, suspension is from an 02 cr80 and built by bbr. Don'tknow muc h about these but seems like a steal for what hes asking. Any info would be aappreciated, also wondering is the ttr125 motor the only motor that will work with this type of frame?

Did a little google search and found this....

    bbr full frame ttr 125

So there must be at least two of them. Probably a couple more floating around also. If it is rare it is worth more right?

According to BBR in that thread you are not swapping the motor without some custom fab skills.

TTR125's are fun bikes, Bet with a 150cc kit and cr80 suspension it is a blast. Probably not going to win a lot of races though.

    What is he asking BTW?

This would probably sell for around the 2k mark in my area depending on condition, tile status, etc.

I myself have owned 2 of them so, It's not that rare. With that being said it's way worth more than $800. The motors aren't that bad. I'd say a GEN1. Does it have an aluminium tank, because my 1st one did. Look for cracks around swingarm bolt, and around the connecting spot where the struts meet.

$800 is a steal if it's in half way decent shape!

I had one too a long time ago. I thought those early bikes were janky in the fit and finish. There was a gang of play in the linkage..... I didn't think it was that nice really. The later ones were alot nicer, and the motor mounts interchange as far as I know. A bike is really only worth what somebody will pay for it. I have a ton of experience with 150F's and 230F's, and for the price-- I'd say that they're hard to beat. These bikes were built BEFORE the 150F's were out in 2003. --L*64

The linkage is all CR85 stuff on the vertical cylinder bikes. Any excessive play would be due to worn out bearings and bushings.

xrfifty01, I'd pay $800 for that bike any day of the week. Any BBR framed bike is extremely well thought out, well engineered and the fit and finish is fantastic. I own 4 BBR perimeter frame bikes, and no other playbikes/pit bikes really compare.

That thing is sweet! Did you paint the rear fender and the shrouds blue, or did someone actually sell blue plastic at one point in time? I'd love to make mine look similar.

Look what followed me home tonight. Shes a little rough like it sat out in the weather ( who leaves a BBR bike outside ) but looks low hour and starts and runs great. I think it has the OEM rear sprocket on it and it needs replaced. Has a sticker on it that says Special sprocket. Anyone know what sprocket fits?

Shrouds were a special run '02-04 CRF450 from Acerbis in YZblue (good luck finding those anymore) Gas tank has to be from a Gen 2 bike, Front Fender was a Cycra YZ85 (re drilled), Plate was YZ85, Rear fender Black w/ YZ85 graphic kit.
    I loved it as well.

You got it! Good for you!!!!! TTR125 sprockets are 428 chain, CR80's are 420 chain. I used CR80/85 rear sprockets (420) and had Sprocket specialist make me up some countershaft sprockets for TTR spline in 420 chain size. The 420 stuff is lighter spins more freely, but wears out easier. 420 stuff is easier to get, and is cheaper.
    just my $.02,
