No pics at the moment but I am working on a project. CR80 w/ XR100 w/ 120 big valve kit.

have to cut off the side tubes of the frame and the lower engine mount that's ON the engine, and having to find a strong crank.... as well as a good clutch system.

I have some doubts on the crank, but may end up using it. Um... oem clutch lasts me about 1 ride. I ride all my bikes like a 2-stroke 125. Fan fan fan the clutch.

I'll probably just throw in something like a dirt digger and see what happens. Still a long ways out on 100% finishing it.

here's mine. 2001 cr80 expert frame with 2002 xr100 motor with bbr's 120cc big bore kit. it also has a bbr pipe.

plans for the future are repainting the frame silver and putting on cr85 style plastics to freshen it up a bit.

its fun on the tight stuff, but its too slow on the big bike tracks. im thinking about getting the kitaco 145cc kit.

has anyone tried this kit out? is it reliable?

nice bikes! JJW the stock crank will be more than fine, punk if you went 143 ou must get a new head, the honda ones DONT suck(lol) but if i were to do it over again i would throw my tlr 220 6spd in a 80 expert chassis. my bbr handled like no other but even at 150 it was slower than poo

    Re: Conversion Bike Thread

wow very nice bikes in here! its funny even with my big cr250 all i think about are my old converted bikes, these are by far the funnest pieces i have ever owned, If i may ask for opinions heres what im debating

option 1: take my 2003 crf150 with a tlr honda 220 6speed and convert it to cr85 suspension front and rear, upsides=big tq,strong frame, and california street registered vin, downfalls= heavy, and heavier

option2: i still own the frame and plastics for that magazine cr80 wich also is california street legal, take this out and buy cr80 forks and swinger and be done, the motor is currently powering an xr100 but i can swap right back. PROS= light, nimble CONS=slow, and snail slow.

option 3: screw the first trwo options, take the money and fix the snapped crank in my street legal 01 yzf250 thats been sitting for 3 years now??????

What would you all pick and why?

Better safe than sorry. I am not going 143, it's going to be a 120 w/ a re-done head. Nothing mind blowing, but should run alright.

Can't blame a guy for wanting good parts.
