Lifan 140 loud rattle! * help *

Just bought a lifan 140 off a guy and he told me the valve clearences might need set, So i did that first before i put the engine in.



First it was 004 inlet and 006 outlet.



Starting the thing up and there was a really loud rattle coming from the top end "i think", So i re-set the valves to 003 inlet and 005 outlet.



Still the same problem!



I think i might have the oil lines on back to front, Would that make a difference?



I really hope it isnt a broken ring or anything, As i bought this engine in a "working" state.

ya sounds like the bearings not good its what happend to me and i just went ahead and got a new 150 the engines are desposeable drain the oil and see if there is aluinum on it? and does it smoke ? sound like the bottom end tho

Could it be a bent valve, Would the bike even run with a bent valve?



My exhaust its extremely warm after like 60 seconds of the bike being on.

Just took the cam sprocket cover off to check is it was loose, Its tight.



But when i put the engine to TDC, i can her a blowing noise as if theres air getting out of a valve at TDC, Would this cause loud rattling?
