TB will have something. Take a look at some of the vendors listed on the main page. There are a few that will be able to suggest something. They may even chime in on this thread.
Alright, fine. The Zongshen motor really responds well to porting. You don't have to do much to feel an improvement. Match your exhaust port opening to your pipe. Mine was alot smaller than the ID of my exhaust, and the ID of the exhaust gasket. You should be able to see a distinct line in your exhaust port where the gasket sets. This is kind of a guide for what to remove. Same with the intake. A little trickier there. Just use your intake runner gasket for the hole ID. Since the Zonger doesn't really have much poop in stock form, and revs very slowly you can install an IRK. These make the engine spin up faster. This is good and bad. Good because yo don't have to wait for ever for the thing to rev up, bad because it tends to explode clutches (my son has blown 2 this summer). Another fairly easy upgrade is a cam. Do some research as to which one to use. I bought one from DRATV and did not like it. I think there may have been something else going on at the time though. I just never gave it another chance. Valve clearance is a big deal on this motor. Don't get them too tight. It will run even worse, and start hard. 4 to 5 thousandths is good. I even let them clatter a little. I haven't done this but a High comp piston would really wake it up also. Stock, I can start it with my hand....
Maybe this is more of the answer you were looking for TOPR?
But then again by the time you do all this you will still not have as good of a motor as if you just saved up and bought a better one.....
which motor do u recomend
I honestly don't think it would matter. Any 140, or 150 main shaft motor would be great.
