    Hi all happy new year,

    I have have read a lot of helpfull post on this matter already bvut still have a problem,on my engine there is two yellow wires insted of the usual yellow&white or yellow&pink

    for the charging and litting circuts,how can i tell whitch is whitch ???can i do an ohms test to find out.

    Any help thanks

    the 2 yellow wire type is normally both ends of the same coil

    you will get continuity ready thru you meter

    Thanks for your prompt reply,that might explan why i keep blowing rectifiers and have cooked my battery,i had a look at the diagram you sent,but istill cant see how i can get this type of stator to charge my battery,do i earth one of the yellow wires,and what type of rectifier/regulator do i need to use for this to work properly,most reg/rectifier i have tried have 4 wires.

    If your stator has a floating ground, you can use the trail tech reg/rec and connect the yellow wires and run a full dc electrical system. You can check by checking for continuity between the yellow wires and the engine case, if none the stator has a floating ground.
