I learned my Chinese lesson.
This is a discussion on I learned my Chinese lesson. within the Chinese/Import Minis - General Discussion forums, part of the General Talk category; Well a couple of days ago I managed to make some money selling my stocker that I kinda gave up on building and decided to ...

Should've ordered from you know where ....

Quality of that swinger looks questionable. Would not trust.

@TheStock50kid Tbolt didn't have what I was looking for, I also looked for a replacement axle there and came up with nothing long enough.
@Brayners No doubt in my mind that it is made of cheapo materials, but it should last me a while. I know of people that run basically the same thing with decent results, but it is definitely no BBR..
If a mini is considered an iron pony, and an pony is relatively half the size of a horse. Does that mean it only has .5 Horsepower?

If they can't get the tire right, who knows what else is wrong???

Well I'm curious to see how it works out. You plan on doing any sort of jumps?

Not really no, just my buddy's track that has a couple of small doubles. I won't be beating on it too hard, more to the point of I don't like riding big tracks on 50's. The last two years I have ridden it around my yard more than anything.
Well message is out, they should get it sometime Monday morning when they open so hopefully that will succeed..

That is pathetic on the sellers part. I really hope you get it all worked out! I honestly would try to return it if thats how they're going to conduct business... You're better off buying from a reputable vender like the one mentioned above.

I hate to say I told you so, but I mean.. The reason you don't find this kit at sites like Tbolt or any reputable site is well.. It's kinda.. Eh.. You get it. That's how I can tell if a part I'm buying is good or not. See if the good guys are stocking it!

Like I said, its just a good switch up of pace, I am not looking to clear 30' table tops anytime soon. If I can get a longer axle with some correct wheel spacers I can hop on and ride, im not too worried. The site has been good to me in the past as far as questions and returns go, so I am sure that they will fix their mistake quickly and correctly.

I learned the same lesson about a year ago, When mine got to my house i opened it up and my axle was about 3" too long and i was missing all the nuts, and i had no spacers, I was so pi$$ed off I filed a paypal claim and got my money back

Well at least its not something big like the brake caliper or something. I can get the other stuff from the hardware store, but I most definitively need that 10" axle. You would think buying it as a kit would mean it would all work...

See so far ordering from them has been a good experience, but that is only my ONE opinion. Its nice to hear some others, I will definitely not be ordering from them for now on.
@TheStock50Kid I didn't buy a Honda civic to race a Lamborghini, it was just a test to see what I like. Just to get the setup and upgrade from there.

Usually when people get hated on for rinky dink stuff, its because the people care about that person's safety and feel bad they wasted their hard earned money on junk. I'm all for being creative and saving money, but sometimes it just isn't worth it....except for the learning experience. I've done my fair share of backyard ingenuity!
Looking forward to seeing what you came up with!
