sdg help!!!!! jetting and others .. new to this pics to help

ok .. well here it is .. i have purchased a 2005 sdg speed mini butt it has the sdg pro 125 motor .. cylinder head says 120cm thus verifying the above stated .. .. now i have an issue with jetting this damn thing .. i have a mikuni carb on it .. says mikuni on the carb stem and japan on the bowl.. i already know could be a knock off .. or whatever .. .. i contacted sdg and they told me stock jetting on both speed mini and pro mini are the same .. 100 main 15 pilot and 1 1/2 turns out on fuel screw and 3rd needle clip position .. now thats for the stock 20mm carb they say comes on both bikes.. im getting told i might have 22mm carb .. when i got it it had low lumpy idle and jettin was 107.5 main 3rd needle clip position and 4 turns out on fuel screw with 20 pilot jet .. well i adjusted the fuel screw and it smoothed and made the idle faster butt still had slight hickup .. now i dropped the needle clip to the 4th position and it seems better butt when i ride it its got a slight stumble in the half and top end area .. some people say the 107.5 is crazy big butt my plug was a greyish and dry colored .. im just wondering what the flip direction i should go .. and why is my needle needing clip needing to go so low .. should i go to a 15 or 17 pilot and lower my main or up my main jet .. im new to this bike butt im not new to jetting and bike in genral .. normally i work on hondas that i know whats going on with the motor work and all that .. i dont know if this bikes been rebored or newer piston or cam or any porting .. if stocks a 100 main this thing should fall flat and not move with a 107.5 main it doesnt butt there is a slight stumble hesitaion half throttle and up sometimes at different times .. tryed new plug and another coil same thing so it rules out its jetting .. anyone with any info would be appreciated and sorry if this is a headache haha .. i put some pics of the jets and carb to give idea if anyone knows what carb it is i know it says mikuni Click image for larger version.

Foam air filters are to be oiled , ALWAYS

Engine and Carb quick check list - TBolt USA Tech Database!

1)Install Intake manifold to head and carb, oil gaskets and tighten bolts lightly at first then torque then down gradually in a cross pattern to provide a good seal and avoid air leaks

2)Make sure the carb is 100% clean, free of debris and you can see light thru both main and pilot jets

3)Double check you valve tappet adjustment .003intake and .004exh.

4)Make sure your exhaust gasket is installed properly.

5)Make sure all electrical connections are tight and you have a solid ground from the engine to the frame.

6)Check for good fuel flow and fresh fuel.

7)See our jetting guide and do a plug read.

The 107 might be a size too big, but the 20 pilot is too small, go to at least a 22.5 or better a 25 pilot. Low needle is to compensate for the rich main jet but it really doesen't work that way.

ok i might have worded that wrong on the needle part for you guys .. i ment i rised the needle lowered the clip .. in other words made the needle to the richest position .. and valves are good fresh gas fresh plug.. and if i move my fuel screw out more my idle dropps and gets lumpy .. while at 1 and half turns out its smooth and crisp idle ..

Protip: Get a thin wire brush. Break a wire off. Run it THROUGH the pinholes in each jet! a SPEC of dirt can ruin your whole day. Then use a air compressor, a straw, your dog.. Find something to blow air throw with high pressure to make sure the dirt gets out. Make sure there's a WHITE towel underneath to see if something comes out, has helped me before!

I'm one hell of a typer. Maybe it helps with throttle control?

i did this .. ive checked it all .. its not and issue of that its jetting .. i know it is .. its got a whole different carb then whats saposed to be on there seeing sdg told me it comes stock with a 20mm and i have a 22mm .. i let the carb and jets sit in carb cleaner over night .. and use wire and 70 psi of air ran threw them jets and cleaned petcock and rechecked gaskets no air leaks .. i sprayed carb cleaner all over while the bike was running and idle didnt drop nor get higher .. so its sealed .. and my filter had oil and it did the same with oil i just cleaned it and ran it without oil to see if it made a difference and nothing .. problem is theses carbs choke only choke pilot circuit not the whole intake side so i can run the chocke to see if my top end or mid range is lean .. the chokes diferent then the ones on the kehin carbs im usto .. and plug chops outta question seeing its different everytime i try it .. im in rhode island usa so dont know my sea level or whatever i never use that to jet i use how my bikes run and whats into them to rejet .. im stummped .. check electricals even key switch getting good spark .. dont get it ,,, its either lean or rich .. i just dont wana get jetts and bounce all around .. just wondering if anyone has a good set up for this motor .. its stock sdg exhaust ... as for motor work i have no clue .. could have a higher comp piston could not could have a cam who knows without opening the motor .. and im not doing that to do jetting ..

THANKs for all advice u guys are giving im greatfull for the time u take .. butt im still att a dead end .. ok on my carb is turning my screw out counter clock wise giving me more fuel .. and turning in gives me less fuel .. .. i knows theres a fuel screw and a air screw .. mine is on the motor side under the carb not on the side of the motor by the filter .. .. if i turn it out to about 3 or 4 turns out idle dropps and gets lumpy .. if i bring it out 1 turn to 1 and a half turns its smooth and crisp .. so seems as thou maybe its dead on or maybe a sixe higher on my pilot would be good .. and again 107.5 main jet and im at the last needle clip position available witch is the richest spot for the needle

Hey 50kid, running wire through jets is NOT a protip! Never poke wire through jets, you can scratch the bore and the tapered inlets that way. Just use solvent and a compressor blast.
