New Pitster Pro 155 no spark

I got my new 155 engine but I cannot seem to get any spark.

    I've hooked it up as follows;
    engine to harness
    blue/white to pink
    green/white to green/white
white/red and red black to matching harness (BUT the wires are reversed can swap them to match up)
    spade terminals to coil
    ring terminal (green) to frame.

    green/red neutral is unused
yellow wires unused until regulator for lights can be hooked up

I've already tried a new coil and spark plug, reversing the wires but now I'm out of ideas.

The pitster wiring picture isn't too helpful because I cant tell if the one plug has the white/red and black/red wires the same or not and the kill switch wires are a completely different color (not that it really matters).

Anyone? Checked all the wires/ground with the multi meter for continuity. I'm thinking bad CDI or stator. Outer rotor so I do not have any spares to try.

I saw that. Its hard to tell but the wires look to match up in the black/red and white/red harness. I verified the colors from another pic on here and reversed mine, and it was a no go.

Unplug your kill switch wire. Kill switch could be bad or stuck

Try to find someone that will let you swap parts. Could be bad parts from the factory

Unfortunately that really isn't an option. I will have to wait for replacement parts to try it as well as a kicker since it did not come with one. Its just disappointment to wait 2 weeks for the motor and then another week for parts to troubleshoot. And according to Pitster tech, the wires are incorrect in the plug so I was right to reverse them. Not there fault but they will make it right!

Hey mate, try this wiring diagram.
    http://www.dhz.com.au/assets/userman...agram_z160.pdf

I just went through the wiring on my z160 yesterday and finally got it running. From memory it sounds like your wiring is done correctly. Good luck!

Thats a better diagram but I am waiting for parts from Pitster. Should have been here last week. I think the weekend coming up will be a month since the motor was ordered!

Finally, I will be able to try the new parts as they should have arrived today. But hey, its only been about 5 weeks since ordering the motor.

Forgot to update. It ended up being a dead CDI. Had some issues with it breaking up/popping after it got warmed up. Put the biggest jets that the kit came with and raised the needle and adjust the air bleed and a new plug. Seems to run pretty good now after some break-in. It was not overheating (via IR thermo). Gear spacing could be larger for street use and the outer rotor makes it tricky pulling out. Runs the same as a 140 with ported head and cam and 26mm carb.
