What pit bike should I get?!?!?!?

Hello, I am new to pit bikes. I was wondering if anyone out there can help me with some advice to what pit bike I should get. I was looking at a ssr 125 x3 pro. Does anyone know anything about ssr 125 x3 pro? Is it good on a mx type track? What is the best Pit Bike on the market? I also looked at the Piranha Daytona 4V; did anyone see one for sale but used? And if I do get the ssr what upgrades should I put on it?

Ive heard lots of mixed feeling about the ssr. Im not sure your price range, but if it was me, id look at either a pitster pro or a full mod crf of klx. I personally like midsize bikes (14/12 wheels and a little bigger) because they are easier to ride and not sooooo twitchy.

Well some guy on craigslist might trade me his ssr 125 x3 pro for my kx125 but its a 98 and no title. Pro pit bike 125 Full alloy frame manual 4 speed

And thanks "Special~k" haha the same for you. Do you guys know of a 150 tx2 or just the tx for sale used? I just mainly want a pit bike that will tare it up on the mx track.

Eh i would skip on the trade and find something a little nicer, bike looks clean but the 125 will get boring and not the best chassis

I had the B2 which is basically the same bike but with a steel frame. It was a good bike that took a lot of abuse. I wouldn't shy away from the X3 but I think its priced a bit high at 1100, I would think its worth about 800. The 125 in it isn't amazing but its decent and mine was beat on for a couple of years before I even came to own it. I put a Pitster Pro 140 in it and it made it a total beast. Its a 50 based bike though so its smaller than a KLX based pit bike but the 12 and 14" wheels on it will help.

I'm new to pit bikes and just picked up an 09 SSR140TX and I love it! I do mainly trail riding and I might take it to the track every once in a great while, but its more for having fun on and just playin around. But then again I only paid $450 for it! Its plenty fast for me and does what I want so I have no complaints at all! Plus parts are very available which is nice.

I don't know man, he had it listed on Craigslist for $500 and when I called he said if I came and got it today he would sell it to me for $450! It needed some carb work and the rear brake didn't work but those were both easy fixes. I love it though and I'm glad I bought it, parts are very easy to find most I've bought off of here, Tboltusa.com or eBay.
