Question Which semi auto? Lifan 125 or Piranha 90?

This is for a street drivin bike only n for the woman n i may do some wheelies on it.
I may have to drop one into one of the panda.
just seeing what do you think is the pros n cons of each?
Wich is more reliable for long term?
There is about a $20-$40 difference in price, depends if I get the complete swap kit or engine only.
does anyone know the exact tranny ratios in each one?
    Hp of each?

I'd say if it is for the woman, go with the 90cc. I am a lifan 125cc semi owner I love it but on smaller framed bike especially the pandas it might be a little overkill for her. I am 5'11 160 and I can barely keep the front wheel down on my while taking off in first. but besides that the lifan has been pretty straight forward. changed the oil and then changed it after running it warm. and since its been really good no complaints. I am unsure about the piranha but the lifan took a few modifications unlike the drop in and play that others explained. the rear brake needed to be bent outward and washers needed to be put on the footrests to make them work. Maybe a piranha owner would like to chime in because there has been some debate at least in previous threads of their longevity but for the prices these things go for when they brake, you put them on ebay as a parts motor and by a new one!

Ive owned the piranha 90 and they are great little motors very good power for the price and never had any trouble with it. Started first kick everytime. I put a tb 20mm carb on mine and it ran great and i might add i loved the all up gears and with a 4 speed very good motor and very good quality.

Watching this thread closely as I have narrowed my choices to one of these for my Motoped build.

Mac, what bike do you have the 125 in and what gear ratio are you running in it?
Craftsmen7 what is your 90 in and gear ratio also?
I may gear it for top end n cruising speed with lower rpms, so wheelies may be less likely for her or my son.
How many miles or hours do you have on your 125 Mac & ur 90 craftsmen 7?
Or maybe you guys ride em on dirt bikes not street plated bikes.

I changed mine around a little.. I ride both.. but mainly street. this lifan is pretty new only around 1.5hrs on it. I am running a 17/35 i think. possibly 16/34. I didnt want to get too small on the back because the roads around me are all about 40-45 and NJ drivers can be aggressive, I wanted to be able to get up to speed easily so I didn't have some numb nuts in an range rover inches from my pipe.

I dunno what gear it was i just use the front sprocket that came with the motor and i had the motor in a thumpstar bike. I know the bike topped out at about 50 honestly and i built it to street ride, and really just to ride over to my buddys house that lived a few miles away. The piranha motors and really well built and really reliable, and i would recommend them to anyone, and i also order my motor from whole sale cycles, they are very good to deal with.

I'm going with a Lifan125 4speedauto with vm26carb/atermarket exhaust for my zb50 frame. Prob do 17/35 gear and take it from there.

    What exhaust?
Do you think that vm26 may be too big?
Or why go so big of a carb?
Reason i ask I have a 125 n want to get the best out of it also.
