    Zongshen 125cc wiring diagram (homemade)

    Just like my mini, this diagram is home built....



    For everyone fighting wiring woes, I have a diagram for wiring my out-of-the-box engine going into my build-a-bike project. I used a "Blue" TB CDI and pigtail harness from a PM advertiser and did the 'ole trial and error method to wire it up. Forget the little plug...you only need the larger 4-wire plug, some connectors, heat shrink tubing and electrical tape....



    I hope this saves some people the time it took me to figure it out....see attached image (more like a "sketch") if you need it....

    Hey mate can you fully explain all the parts in the diagram?? I bet you all think I am dumb, but yeah I am having troubles wiring my lifan, and I realy wanna sort it out! My coil only has 1 wire going into it!! and I think its black and red maybe?? Thanks, Nick

    What clarification do you need? The wire colors should be a guide for you from the stator on up...let me know what you don't understand.



    If you only have one wire from your coil it must use the mount on the frame as a ground. A honda coil has an additional green wire terminal on it. Are you using a chinese coil?

    Yep, Chinese coil! Ok, you have "exciter coil" "ignition coil" and "ign pulse gen" what exactly are all these, cause all I have is the magneto, cdi unit, coil, and kill switch!! And I take it the "ign module" is the magneto?? Please explain, thanks! Nick

    Ok, I am pretty sure my wires are all sweet!!! except I have 2 wires going into my kill switch?? Not sure what colour they are, but that shouldn't efect spark if I have the kill switch disconected ay?? I am hoping its my plug lead/ cap thats letting me down!! Thanks heaps for ya help guys! Nick

    Nick, The ignition module is the CDI. The Exciter coil is the blk/red wire from your engine plug/loom to the ignition module(known as a CDI).

    The Ign. pulse generator is your "trigger" wire (blue/white) from the engine to the CDI. The ignition coil is the coil with the high-tension lead that hooks onto your spark plug.

    This is all you should need:





    The wires on the left are coming out of the engine and the wires on the right are coming out of the CDI box!



    The 2 blk/white wires go to the coil and kill switch(1- wire to power the coil and 1 kill wire to ground out the coil). These are coming out of the plug going to the coil and kill. The other wires are going into the plug.



    The blue/yellow (blue/white) and the red/blk wires go into the CDI plug.



    The green wires are all grounds and can be grounded anywhere that is a good ground!

    yeah i'll sort it out!!! I think I have it right, just plug lead and cap are sketchy!! Thanks, Nick
