    Front sprocket tooth/speed change

Just wondering what a tooth on the front sprocket would do for top speed in each gear on any type of engine (just an average i guess).

For example: IF my top speed in 4th was 45MPH and I went up 1 tooth on the front sprocket what kinda speed increase should I see?

Basically what a 15t would do in place of a 14t and so on.

I'm sure someone has got to have a ball park figure on this...

i have all the ratios for sprocket combinations but a s far as speed goes unless you are drag racing it what does it matter?

I know when I tried a 15t front with a 41t rear and a 12inch rear wheel the gearing was to tall. I was on a motocross track that is very loose dirt and sand. If you are riding on wide open trails or down the street the 15t front is perfect. I did not like it for motocross tracks unless they are hard packed dirt. As for top speed it should be about 50mph if you are currently 45mph.

I basically just wanted a ball park figure from anyone who has messed around with just changing front sprocket tooth count only and had seen what the difference is. I would like to carry a bit more top speed but don't want to kill the torque too much for trails so i'm thinking of just going up one tooth and seeing what happens.

This is an OGM 125x that will have the Works yx 165 kit with cat-5 ported head from T-bolt. I have upgraded to 12/14 wheel combo and it currently has a 14/39 sprocket combo which gave me good lowend for trails.

Any ideas on a good sprocket setup for this combination that will give me the most top speed without sacrificing too much torque for climbs and tight trails?
