    50 boggin down?

My CRF50 with the TB 88 Superhead kit on it runs like a BEAST for the first couple hours of riding it, then it starts to bog a little bit, then I'm afraid it's just gunna quit on me. Hardly any power, won't go past like 20 MPH without acting like I pushed the kill switch. Any Ideas what the prob could be? and Solutions to fix it?

Is it hot where you are riding ? And you could always do a tb oil cooler, and are the fins on the head and stuff clean of mud ?

You should buy a temp sticker to see if it's getting to hot

It sounds like the stator under the flywheel is starting to go. When they get hot and stop makeing electricity or low voltage bike will hardly run. Let it cool off and it fires right back up. I would think if the jetting was off enough to overheat it it would happen much sooner than after a couple hours of rideing..

I found out what it was, my Works Performance shock was rubbing on the wires that go into my rev box. the wires were touching my frame and shorting out my bike! Some good ole' electrical tape will fix it

These bikes will overheat after a couple of hours of being put to the test. Espicially if you're hitting high rpm's and revving em out in every gear. I've noticed that after riding in Hollister hills all day. The bikes get hot and they just loose power. They are air cooled so they will need to cool off after a couple of hours of being on the pipe. I slapped a TB oil cooler on my 88 and I've never noticed the loss in power since.
