I'm putting and 88cc kit on my crf50, and I'm going to be running stock crab and pipe. Every one has been telling it's just fine to run stock carb

It depends on the cylinder head. the stock head should get the stock carb, a race head should get a larger carb

Check your plug and see if it needs a re jetting.
But if it runs fine & you want low end, stock works

It's fine, I have bikes with just a 88cc cylinder kit with stock head and stock carb, and I have a complete 88cc kit with a super head and over sized carb, not a big difference

I run same 88 cc stock carb setup, but the next OEM mainjet up (which is 2 up on the OEM jet number). Std aircleaner and with exhaust baffle in & the plug colour is a nice brown - so its well matched.
I'm surprised the super head doesn't far outrev the std 88cc - the whole point of this setup is a much higher revving motor that delivers torque much further into the rev range. Does it deliver power at higher RPM ?

I have a UNI air filter on my OEM carb with 88cc kit. Have a bog at WOT and a little bit of back fire issue. I am thinking go to a #60 main jet and buy a adjustable needle? Your thoughts?

    Thank You & Merry Christmas,

Does it backfire on accel or on decel? Backfire on accel is rich, backfire on decel is lean

back fire on decel after I rev it up high. I think the UNI filter might be the issue. Do you recommend buying a #60 MJ and adjustable needle? Idle seems rough too almost like timing is off

    Thanks

Yes, I suggested that in your other post, along with drilling out the air screw plug if you have one.

I have already drilled out plug and have access to screw. I will order MJ from Local dealer and see if I can get my hands on an adjustable needle.
