Using crf50 drum with 70 hub

I have a crf50 five-0 swingarm and trying to fit a set of 70 wheels to it. Will the 50 drum work in the 70 hubs to give me correct wheel spacing? Are the axles different diameters? Anyway to make it work if not?

The axles for the 50 and the 70 are both 12mm, and the 50 brake panels will not work with the 70 wheel hubs, they are smaller and a different design. Have you tried the 70 rear wheel and brake panel for fitment to your swingarm? If anything, you may have to move the brake panel tab forward on the swingarm.

Yeah I tried the 70 wheel and the spacer was way too long. Bought a 50 spacer thinking that might solve it but only cut the distance in half. Brake tab not an issue, will work fine

Is it possible to machine some material from the end of the brake panel to give you more room on the sprocket side for the 50 spacer, and still not throw off the inline alignment of the chain between the front and back sprocket?
