TWO BROTHERS ALSO HAS THE TAKEGAWA. . .PART# 010-3-04-254. . .RETAIL $229
Find out what the Takegawa part numbers are for the 1st and 3rd gears and get them that way, the kit uses your stock 2nd gear and an extra long shaft to mount the clutch in the primarys.

He doesnt want the primary clutch setup though?
no I just want the transmission. thanks a bunch guys.
Is this transmission for use with a stock clutch setup?
whats the advantage of close ratio gears?
it is mainly to make it so that first gear is a little more usable

I didnt even see your post oldschool. So if I buy the first and third gears I should be good to go? they will mount right up on the stock shafts?
if that is true then I might be able to save myself some $$. I would also like to know if I could use those gears without the $900 special clutch.
yes, you can use the close ratio tranny without the kit/tak clutch setup, where and for how much can you order the two gears from tho is another question

Motarded, I have gone in circles on this and I am hear to tell you that you are going to have some issues.
You cannot just buy the gears for 1st and 3rd because the 11t stock first gear is mounted to the shaft so whatever you buy for your matching 1st won't work. The shaft that comes with the kit is a 13t shaft. The matching 1st gear part number with 35 teeth is honda 23421-065-010.
If you don't get that shaft, you cannot change the first gear around. Also, don't forget that changing the first gear means you have to change your kickstart gear too.
We went back and forth on this. I ended up buying the Kitaco Ultra Clutch kit which came with an 11 tooth main shaft and I had no problems, but that defeats your purpose of getting a better ratio.
My suggestion is to go ahead and purchase the whole kit as the individual parts will cost you more than the kit itself.
The $215.00 is a fair price for the kit it is a great upgrade for racing. Fatcaaat is correct on the Kickstart gear and Shaft.

but they do sella kit on classic honda that is to change out the tranny for use with the stock stuff though right? I think iw ill give them a call and see whats up.
I installed on on my old 88cc race motor. and Installed a TB manual clutch kit and the Bike Ripped no problems. It shifted smooth and is still going strong.
