I would definitely put a lot on the tracks/promoters. I have personally talked to a couple tracks that said they built a pit bike track and it didn't get used and it costs too much to maintain. If you build a track it needs to be known that it's there and it really doesn't take a lot of maintenance. Don't think people are expecting to show up at a local track and see a Minimoto replica.

Most people don't bring their minis to the tracks so why would a promoter build a track for no one to ride? That doesn't make sense to just hope people show up. I know in a lot of the socal threads they have said several times that the promoters will change and build the tracks if people showed up and it worked for a weekend and that was it. Go to the tracks and ride more and get more heads out there then they might take it into consideration. People do expect a groomed track when they pay to ride so in turn that cost money for a few people just doesn't make sense, yeah it sounds cool and everyone will say they ate gonna show but it only ends up being a few people.

Also the whole wa not being west is kind of funny to me considering your complaining about nothing out west then bashing the stuff that is. Ironic and if I was a promoter I wouldn't want to deal with that.

Go to your local track and talk to them and see if you can get something going.

just a guess but probable due to the fact that we have way less open land we can just ride with means only other option are back yard tracks and legit tracks, also i feel like the west coast is a little more spread out then the east coast cities which means we may not have to travel as far. like a 5 hour drive would land me in ny or nc depending if i go north or south, which is a hike in my book but i have say 4-5 legit tracks within 2 hours of my house which i got no problem driving. so maybe that gives us a higher average turn out at events making them seem more popular here which will cause promoters to do more in the area
