What's your weight and style of riding?? I called bbr last week and asked them this exact question. They told me 3.5 oz of 30 weight oil and hd springs for aggressive riding, track riding clearing big jumps.

Not to hijack your thread but while we are on the subject I have a quick ?
I just put together a 70 build and have been researching the xr80 dampening rods upgrade ,
am I correct in understanding that Xr 100 dampening rods the same? I have a set of xr100 forks on a parts bike that I could rob for a free upgrade if so!

Thats my guess as well! Thanks for the reply
Would the spring rate be any stiffer on the 100 springs?
If they were I though I may cut them down to make a DIY heavy spring.

I think the 100 rods are longer than the 80 but I'm not positive.

    Update

i swapped the 100 dampening rods and 20wt fork oil in this morning! So the 100 dampening rods are the same length as 70s!

this rig is about done now, just a few more touches ! If I don't end up trading or selling it I may go to a extended swinger, bbr springs and a 108 stroker!

The 80 rods are longer than the 70 rods so the 100 ones have to be longer which is what you want. 70's are fun bikes, I just can't get comfy on a 50. Just installed a stroker crank in mine & I'm in love lol.

Shit I worded that wrong earlier, the 100 dampening rods worked fine in the 70 forks so they are compatible like the 80 rods.

    Wtf... Huffing paint Nathan?

On a similar topic to this thread, do the springs out of an xr80 work in 70 forks? Would they need to be cut down?
