    04 crf70 carb issues

Hey guys ,,, I'm new here from st.matthews s.c ,,, I just purchased a 04crf70 and a 03xr70 as a parts bike ... Long story short ,,, I needed a stator and base.... got the 03 for 100$ ,, got my crf running but its cutting out after more than half throttle ,,, I had to use a carb that was larger than spec carb... Pretty sure that's why it's cutting out but honestly I'm new to this and I am wondering if I take the throttle cable loose and lower the needle would that limit the fuel possibly and help stop the bogging down after anymore than half throttle

the bogging down usually happeneds when the pilot jet is clogged ,take the float bowl off and with a flathead screwdriver remove both jets , u should be able to see thru both of them if not their clogged

Jets are clean and clear ... It ran decent with the choke roughly 1/3rd open ,, I took the carb back off and put new gaskets and springs on mixture and pilot screws,, this aftermarket carb. Im having to use has a adjustable float and the orig. Carb. Didn't ,, after the carb. Refresher kit it's cutting out after 1/4th throttle and runs like trash with or without the choke opened or not

Have you adjusted the clip on the needle at all? How far out is the air screw from seated? A pic of the carb you're working with will be a big help.
