Will it work or would it be to much bottom end?
This is a discussion on 39 Tooth sprocket on stock klx 110 within the KLX110, DRZ110, TTR90 forums, part of the General Talk category; Will it work or would it be to much bottom end?...
Will it work or would it be to much bottom end?
14/39? Sure, it'll work.
Is there such as thing as too much bottom end?
As long as you don't mind too little top end.
Really it depends on a lot of things:
How much motor you got?
How fast you wanna go up top?
Where you ride? (Tight or Wide Open?)
Got a 4th gear?
How often you like changing gears?
14/39 might be a little much.
I ran 14/36, now 15/39 (same thing) feels good, park it in third for the most part. Still plenty of bottom with my 155, and I'm not bangin' gears constantly.

cool thanks for the info.
I have a 155 and i have 16/39 but i have a big bike swinger I need more top 3rd is to high and 2nd is to low so I need to drop to like a 37 tooth rear
I have a 2010 klx 110L and the stock sprocket is 38t. I'm thinking that it might be better on that bike instead of the stock 07 klx 110 33t. The problem i'm having is I have this kx 60 wheel with 39t sprocket and I'm trying to figure out witch one to put it on. Two Brothers makes that 39t special for that wheel & that's whats on it. I can't find any that are smaller than that for that wheel. If anyone knows if someone makes a smaller sprocket for the kx 60 wheel than a 39t let me know thanks.

Go with a 37, i got a 39 on my stocker and it has a little to much bottom end
Ok but where do I get a 37 that will fit on kx 60 hub?
I think if you call Sprocket Specialist they can make you a 37tooth. But I think that's the smallest they can make for kx60.
I will try calling on Mon. thanks badmatt for all the info.
What about for a kx65 hub?
I think they are the same but for the 65 the smallest i found was 39t & i found a 38 for kx 60 from sprocket specialist that was the smallest for that hub.
