Rear drum brake problem
The rear drum brake on my DRZ110 always seem to stick when ever I use it, I oiled and greesed every part of the linkage, but after about a half hour of riding it will start to stick again. I know a disc brake would solve the problem, but is there anything I could do to fix the problem with drum untill I switch to a disc?

Re: Rear drum brake problem
check the brake pedal itself, the shaft it rotates on could be corroded. Use "never seize" on it, and the brake cam shaft, which also could be corroded.(common problem)

Re: Rear drum brake problem
I've checked both of those and both parts move freely

check the drum measurement (ID). It may be worn out., or maybe it is scored?

Re: Rear drum brake problem
when you replaced the brake pads did you replace the little springs too?
clean all the rust and grime off the drum?
when that happened to mine I just took it all apart and lubed the shaft that goes into the drum and cleaned it all up and havent had anymore problems.

Re: Rear drum brake problem
I have this problem with my front brake. It sticks until I brake hard for another time, then it releases itself most of the time. I know for sure I need to replace the brake shoes, though. Do you guys replace the brake springs every time you replace the brake shoes?
