I would look into buyin a trail bikes kit, talk to mike at tbparts he can get you what ya need for a good price.. As far as kicking over the 143 its not to bad but he is just a little guy so its hard telling
-
definitely go tb on the bbk. I always have expect for the first bbk i bought. Which is that terrible brand x that you have up there! just put it this way, it didn't last long. you pay for what you get in this game pretty much always.

Ok so the bbk I was looking at seems to be junk but the real question is how bad is the compression on a bb motor will he beable to start it easily?
-
I wouldnt say he will be able to start it easy, ull have it fresh so there is gonna be good compression, i dont think it will be to hard on him
-
That might be an issue but really cant tell unless he tries..i would have him try kicking something with a little more compression than an xr50 to get used to it. if he kicks an xr50 over no problem he's already used to the 4 stroke kick. see what he can do, bbk's are awesome. If he is starting a ktm 65 he prob wont have a problem starting a 143 kit bike
