    i have a 2002 klx110 and i want to put a big bore kit in it but i cant find one that will work with a 02 does any one no were i can look and can u bore your stock cylinder to a 143 so i can just buy a piston and head and a carb.

    If you wanna do that you might as well pull the head off, push the piston down to the bottom of its stroke and drop a grenade inside. The bottom end of the 02 wont handle much abuse....weak

    02's had bad cranks and bad transmissions. Very prone to breaking. The different styles are 02, 03-04, 05-09, '10+.

    i think it will be fine can u bore the stock cylinder to a 143 though

    also the bike is like brand new it only has probly 15hours on it it has hardly ever been used i think it will be fine i am going to get a big bore then port and polish the head and get a cam and exuahst and carb and stuff

    you can't bore the cylinder that big, i bored mine to a 130 and don't know if you can go larger with ought sleeving it. Tbolt has the best prices and options for 143 kits. You can also check the classifieds and get a used cylinder and do new piston and rings and be ready to go. Ive been told you need to do a crank and head to really get all the use out of the 143. I would be scared to use a 2002 motor. Look for a used motor on here they might have everything you want plus more!

    Any bore kit you buy for around $200 new with everything is going to be worth the money,for the power gain.

    how much power will i gain if i run every thing stock but put a 143 big bore kit in

    my question isn't how much power but how long the bottom end will last. If you try it out let us know!
